don't just take our word for it!

here are some of the organisations we've been lucky enough to work with

Lift programme & consultancy client logos

and here is what their colleagues have to say about working with us

Claire is a consultant and mentor specialising in the wellbeing space.  I’ve worked with her a few times since our first meeting in 2021, using both her consultancy and mentoring.

Claire worked with me and my team and helped us appreciate that wellbeing and improved delivery are the same thing. Investing and paying attention to staff wellbeing is not about the yoga and free fruit – she showed us how by investing time and focus in wellbeing we could create a higher performing team.

Through her insight and focus on wellbeing the team delivered a 95% growth on income in a particularly challenging and under-staffed year.  And at the end of the project every single team member reported improvement in their own wellbeing, and that the process had supported personal development.

In her mentoring work, Claire focuses on mentoring authentic leaders.  She balances extraordinary compassion with a practicality that gives her mentees structure and direction…allowing a space to rehash, reframe and rehearse…which right now feels would be helpful for many other sector leaders.  Claire provides the perfect balance of sensitive challenge and support.  She is literally the only mentor who has ever seen through my bluster, been brave enough to call me out…and get results!

With the company navigating a major existential crisis and colleagues on the front line, managing both donor relationships and their own emotional rollercoaster, we were looking for some support.

We immediately thought of Claire.  And it was the perfect moment to have her by our side. She really was on our side throughout her work with us – shaping it to our evolving needs and the personalities of the team

What made Claire’s approach even more powerful was her background in the Performing Arts. She really gets the unique pressures of fundraising—especially when you’re constantly “on”, and the show must go on and you still need to take care of your wellbeing. As people who are dedicated and love what we do, finding balance and knowing how to truly rest can be a real challenge. But Claire gave us tangible, real-world strategies to recharge and refocus, which we continue to use every day!

What’s even more amazing is that Claire helped us develop a shared language around resilience and wellbeing, which has made these lessons stick. The circles of control, the taps, and the different types of rest—this language has become an invaluable tool for checking in with one another, offering support, and staying grounded during even the most challenging moments.

Claire’s expertise is unmatched. She brings a perfect mix of knowledge, humour, and practical experience that makes learning feel engaging and accessible. We’re so grateful for the lasting impact Claire has had on our team, and the resilience we’ve built together will continue to carry us forward!

I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Claire Warner over a number of years, beginning shortly after I entered my first senior fundraising role. Claire provided invaluable management training and coaching, guiding me through the fundamentals of fundraising with a focus on modern, compassionate, and effective leadership and management.

When I first approached Claire, I was struggling to find my leadership style, bouncing from HR challenge to HR challenge and not enjoying my role.

Claire’s extensive experience in fundraising and charity leadership, paired with her accessible and engaging style, helped me shift my approach. She showed me that I didn’t have to lead with the same bad habits and outdated practices I’d encountered throughout my career. Instead, Claire put me on a path to success that prioritised the welfare of both myself and those around me, emphasising the importance of happy, engaged, and valued staff.

With her guidance, we have transformed our approach to income generation, recruitment, internal communications, and staff welfare – even removing all income targets for staff. The results have been phenomenal, with a significant increase in success for the charity, a surge in my own job satisfaction, and a thriving, happy team. Claire gave me the roadmap for success, and I am grateful every day that I followed it. We wouldn’t have achieved this without her."

I can't stress to you enough just how much I recommend you have Claire come and work with you and your team. We're on our third project with her!

The relationship started with a wellbeing programme for the fundraising & marketing team during the pandemic. My team loved having Claire working with them

In April 2021 I joined her amazing Thrive programme. Having the space to focus weekly on different areas of fundraising really appealed to me. I'm SO pleased I joined.

Then in 2023 Macular Society signed up to Lift's People Management Done Differently programme.  Where else can you get access to Management & Leadership development work for all of your colleagues, so that everyone is working in the same way? And not just that, but coming from a place of understanding - Claire totally 'gets' the charity sector and knows how to balance learning and delivering with how you keep yourself and your team well.

She's wonderful - book her today!

I was looking for someone to facilitate some wellbeing work across our whole fundraising team about three months into the pandemic, and Claire came highly recommended.

She provided a tiered programme of support, offering group check-in sessions; workshops covering confidence building, working through isolation
and understanding our own personalities to improve work life balance; and support for leadership team and training course on managing through uncertainty.

The feedback we got from colleagues was that Claire's work was great and very much appreciated.  Claire offers a great service and is a very engaging facilitator and trainer

In a previous role leading a team of major gifts and legacy fundraisers, I worked with Claire following a period of ill health and work related stress, to navigate the pressures of balancing challenging personal fundraising objectives alongside management and leadership duties.

In weekly zoom coaching sessions over a period of 6 weeks, Claire's warm, direct, task-focused coaching helped me to achieve some challenging objectives, and I learnt valuable time management and prioritisation techniques and leadership skills.

Claire was a great source of support and encouragement, I really felt she was on my side during a very stressful period. Outside of our weekly sessions, Claire checked in by email and zoom catch ups for additional accountability. Claire helped me regain confidence in my abilities and helped me to prioritise my wellbeing by focussing on the the things that were in my control, and this continues to have a positive impact in my new role doing a job I love.

Claire's tailored support helped me far beyond the original brief. Reach out to Claire if you want someone who recognises the pressures of the sector and will help you with practical advice and support
